Delta featured in "Gearing Up" media campaign

Thu, 22 March 2012

Delta Electrics features prominently in the NT Government's "Gearing Up Local Businesses for Major Projects" media campaign that is currently running on TV, radio and print. The campaign aims to encourage NT businesses to prepare for the growth and challenges that major projects like the $30 Billion Inpex Ichthys LNG development and others will bring.

Delta Electrics is proud to be a part of the "Gearing Up Local Businesses for Major Projects" media campaign and sees its inclusion as recognition of the great work that Delta has been doing in recent years, especially for major clients like Power and Water Corporation.

There is no doubt that businesses in the NT face some major challenges in meeting the demands and opportunities that major projects like Inpex-Ichthys will bring. These challenges cover a wide range of issues such as developing skills in your work force, attracting and retaining skilled staff, being able to compete and deliver against large national or international companies.

The NT Government is well aware of these challenges and provides a range of programs and support for businesses to rise to the challenges. Delta has been involved in recent months in the Jobs NT Workforce Planning Program (run by the NT Department of Business and Employment) which enabled the company to develop a comprehensive workforce development plan that has led to the employment of our first Indigenous Electrical Apprentice and puts the company on a solid footing for the workforce challenges that lie ahead. Click here for more details on the NT Government's Workforce Planning Program.

Another valuable resource that local NT companies seeking to gain work in these major projects need to be involved in is the Industry Capability Network-NT (ICN-NT) - click here to be taken to their Project Gateway website where you can register your company's details and expression of interest in various work packages on offer.

Delta's General Manager, Corey Impelmans, spent a day working with the production team and features prominently in the TV and Print advertisements. Some of Delta's sales and technical staff also make an appearance. Click on the link below to have a look at some of the ads.
